Bashar al-Assad says no to Stepping Down as Syria President

Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria, said he would not resign the presidency prior to the 2014 elections. He warned those in the opposition in an interview with a newspaper from Argentina. Assad said that foreign intervention is to blame for the crisis in his country and he welcomed, albeit cautiously, a proposed peace conference set up by Russia and the U.S. Assad was speaking to the state news... 

CDC: Mental Disorders affect close to 1 out of 5 Children

The Centers for Disease Control released a report on Friday that says as many as 1 out of 5 children suffer in the U.S. from a mental disorder. The report also said that the number of children who are diagnosed with a mental disorder has been on the increase for over a decade. Airlines for America, an industry trade group for U.S. based airlines, announced that nearly 209 million people in the U.S. will fly an American based airline this summer. For males, the use of pain-killing drugs referred to as opioids, could do more than just relieve pain, a study says they can also be detrimental to their sex life. Eight-nine charged by Federal Officials in Multi-million dollar Medicare Fraud

Federal officials announced on Tuesday that 89 people had been charged in a major crackdown in healthcare fraud across the U.S. Included in those charged are 14 nurses and doctors for their roles in a number of scams relating to Medicare that bilked more than $223 million from taxpayers through fake charges. Some participants allegedly acted as doctors and wrote out fake prescriptions for medication... 

Russia Claims CIA Agent to be Deported

On Tuesday, the security services in Russia claimed they had arrested an agent of the CIA who was posing as a U.S. Embassy employee in Moscow.
