Iowa Court Says No Sexual Harassment in Dentist Assistant Case

On Friday, justices at the Iowa Supreme Court would not reinstate the sexual harassment suit from Webster County of a dental assistant who had been fired because the wife of her boss was opposed to, amongst other things, the two of them texting one another when not at work. Amazon Posts Loss For The Quarter (NASDAQ: AMZN)

Amazon.com Inc reported its first quarterly net loss in more than five years.  The company reported a third-quarter net loss of $274 million, or $0.60 a share.  This compared to net income of $63 million, or $0.14 a share, in the third quarter of 2011.  The last time Amazon reported a quarterly net loss was during the third quarter of 2003. Boeing Reports Surprising Third Quarter Profit (NYSE: BA)

Fatal Rash Caused by Hepatitis C Medication Incivek

Apple Profit Increases 24% In Fourth Quarter (NASDAQ: AAPL)

Apple said its profit increased 24% in the fourth quarter, largely due to a surge in sales of the iPhone.  The company sold 26.9 million iPhones, an increase of 58% over a year earlier.  The iPhone now accounts for nearly half of the company’s sales.  Revenue from the iPhone rose 56% to $17.13 billion and made up 48% of the company’s total revenue.
