Ernest Wilford, who was resigned just 10 days ago after failing to make the final roster cut, has been released again. Wilford was originally drafted as a WR in 2004. He made the switch to TE after a short stint with the Miami Dolphins in 2008.

Jaguars Awarded Former Bills QB Edwards
The Jaguars put in a claim for recently released Bills QB Trent Edwards, and were awarded Edwards by the NFL. Several other teams, including the New York Jets, pursued Edwards. The Jags were awarded the Quarterback because of their current record, which stands at 1-2.

Jags Sign Eric and Gerald Alexander
The Jaguars have signed former New England LB Eric Alexander, according to a team press release. Gerald Alexander, who the team acquired in a trade last season with the Detroit Lions, was also re-signed after failing to make the final roster cuts.
